SUMMER BREAK ART CAMP AT SKETCH AND SIP....

June 18-August 10

This is an example, there will be different projects throughout the summer.

IF YOUR CHILDREN HAVE A PASSION FOR ART, JOIN US FOR THE WEEK OR DAY. WE WILL BE WORKING IN DIFFERENT MEDIUMS OF ART, ACRYLICS, WATERCOLOR, MOBILES, AS WELL AS PROJECTS TO DECORATE THEIR ROOMS. THEY WILL BE TAUGHT TECHNIQUES AND DISCOVER AND LEARN ABOUT FAMOUS ARTISTS.

CAMP IS FOR AGES 6-13

HALF DAY- 9AM-12PM  $100 FOR THE WEEK $20/ DAY 

WHOLE DAY- 9AM- 5PM $200 FOR THE WEEK $50 /DAY

 Morning Class "Sample" schedule for the week: each week will be different

Monday- Picasso inspired Monochromatic Painting. This painting demonstrates shading, tinting, and color theory. We will be using one color and various shades of that color to make an abstract painting.

Tuesday- Native American hand made art. We will start out with a weaving a project. Did you know that the Native American men were the "weavers" of their tribes? If they did not make the clothes and rugs for the tribe, they would freeze in the winter. We will also make a clay adobe, a replica of a modern Native American home.

Wednesday- We will be making Alexander Calder inspired mobiles using many differnt materials of your childs choice.

Thursday- Mosaic project with torn paper and paper tiles. They will have three choices between a Fish, Turtle, and Butterfly.

Friday- Wax resistance art using crayons and watercolor. We will be making line drawings to achieve this interesting form of art.

When the week is over, your child will have a collection of their own art!!

 Day class "Sample" Schedule for the week: each week will be different

Morning classes, then Lunch is from 12:30 to 1:15 pm. When they are finished we will go  outside and explore until 2:00pm, to get the kids some fresh air and movement.

Monday- Aboriginal Art on drawing paper, using multicultural crayons which are very similar to pastels.

Tuesday- Van Gogh inspired "Sunflowers" painting using watercolor and acrylics.

Wednesday- Impressionist painting inspired by George Seurat. They will be painting on canvas using a dot technique.

Thursday- Picasso's "Three Musicians" will inspire us to recreate this painting using various papers and techniques.

Friday- An Independence Day theme

Throughout the week we will throw in some filler projects based on time.
